The Teachings of Buddhism

Several years ago, when struggling with my health, I turned to the study of Buddhism. I find comfort in the teachings and writings from this universal practice. One of the most well renowned Buddhist monks is the Dalai Lama. I know I'll be sharing more about him in the future posts as I love his books. I also love the writing of Thich Nhat Hanh. He has written more than 100 books about the core Buddhist teachings of mindfulness, kindness and compassion. This quote I posted today reminds me of the women in our group. Every day, we reach out to one another, whether it is a small emoji or comforting word of support. It is important for all of us to know we are not alone. I am grateful for their kind words to one another. One small word of support really can make a difference to someone who is suffering.
